The 31st CHER Annual International Higher Education Conference
August 30 – September 1, 2018

Call for Papers

Abstract submissions are accepted until March 30, 2018.

This year, the CHER Conference’s special topic is ‘Differentiation and Integration in Higher Education: Patterns and Dynamics.’ The event will provide a unique venue for researchers in various disciplines and with diverse scholarly perspectives to network and debate about university systems, HEI management issues, and the changing landscape of higher education.

Higher education systems are now shaped by both strong centrifugal and centripetal forces. For one thing, the global university landscape is becoming so diverse that it is no longer possible to talk about a single model of higher education. On the other hand, the Bologna process, internationalization and multiple university alliances are examples of international university integration. As part of the Conference’s six tracks, the participants will address a broad range of subjects central to the present-day global university agenda, including:

  • The Changing Higher Education and the Changing Society
  • Institutional Models and Dynamics in Higher Education
  • Student Accessibility and Academic Experiences in Dynamic Universities
  • The Changing Academic Profession: Challenges and Opportunities
  • New Academic Strategies, Values, and Demographics.

Keynote Speakers

The Conference’s working language is English.
