Projects 2021

In 2021, the International Laboratory is working on several projects:

Center of Fundamental Studies project "EdTech in distance learning at school: implementation, use and perception" 

Project manager: Loyalka P., Khavenson T.

Goal: analysis of the use and perception of digital tools for distance learning by participants in the educational process.

Research tasks:

  1. Describing the dynamics of the digital divide in Russia in the course of education modernization projects and to assess its role in the transition to distance learning from the coronavirus pandemic.;
  2. Describing the teachers' perception of distance learning and the tools for organizing it;
  3. Describing the different practices of using digital tools and their relationship to the characteristics of teachers and schools;
  4. Analyzing what factors are associated with the coincidence in the perception of school administrators and teachers of various difficulties in the transition of an educational organization to distance learning;
  5. Analyzing the level of burnout and technological stress of the teacher.

The case of New Moscow natural experiment

Project manager: Kotlikova A.

Goal: assessment of the effects of the change of the founder and the transfer of schools to the jurisdiction of the capital.

Research tasks:

  1. Tracking of how participation in the Capital Education program influenced the results and access to resources of students in New Moscow schools;
  2. Recording of the dynamics of results and resource capabilities of schools in Moscow and the Moscow Region in the period from 2010 to 2015;
  3. Analysis of other factors that influenced academic results and the resource base of educational institutions;
  4. Make recommendations aimed at reducing educational inequality in Russia.

Joint project with the online platform Uchi.ru "Research of approaches to conceptualizing, measuring and increasing student engagement on digital educational platforms"

Project manager: Kapuza A.

Research tasks:

  1. Conducting literature research on theories and operationalization of learning engagement; 
  2. Conducting a literature research on the subject of an engagement in the use of digital educational tools;
  3. Conducting a literature study on the subject of organizing the educational process using digital tools;
  4. Identifying basic principles of engagement measurement and engagement measurement tools;
  5. Describing the factors associated with student engagement in the use of digital educational tools
  6. Conducting regular meetings with the Uchi.ru team to discuss engagement and its measurement
  7. Developing a scientifically based research program to increase engagement on the Uchi.ru platform
