Monitoring of Yandex.Practicum alumni

The study "Monitoring Yandex.Practicum Alumni" is an online survey among graduates of Yandex.Practicum educational courses who completed their studies from January 1 to June 30, 2020. The purpose of the study is to monitor the professional trajectories of graduates of Yandex.Practicum courses, to assess the role of the attended courses in achieving professional goals.

Research objectives:
1. Reveal the motives for passing the Yandex.Practicum courses;
2. Determine the characteristics of the labor activity of graduates before passing and at the time of passing the courses;
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of Yandex.Practicum for graduates who started their studies in order to change the scope of the professional field, find another job (including go to a related field);
4. Evaluate the effectiveness of Yandex.Practicum for graduates who started their studies with other goals, but completed the career track of Yandex.Practicum, which may indicate their willingness to change jobs;
5. Determine the characteristics of the current labor activity of graduates who planned (or are ready) to change jobs and found it in the process or after passing the Yandex.Practicum;
6. Evaluate the changes in work activities that have occurred to graduates as a result of the Yandex.Practicum.

The research focuses on graduates who started their studies at Yandex.Practicum in order to change the sphere of their professional field, find another job (including going into a related field).
The respondent base consisted of 796 graduates of five educational courses Yandex.Practicum ("Front-end developer", "Web developer", "Tester", "Data analyst", "Data Science Specialist"), who completed their training in the period from January 1 to 30 June 2020
