Senior Researcher Prashant Loyalka Visits HSE
Mr. Loyalka is a specialist in the economics of education, and holds a Ph.D. in International Comparative Education. His research interests include improving education quality for disadvantaged populations, quality and equity of access to upper secondary and higher education, and issues related to education and health. Mr. Loyalka is a professor at Stanford University, as well as a research fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He was previously an assistant professor at the China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University.
During the course of his visit, Mr. Loyalka held a series of master classes on quasi-experimental methods in education for students from the “Measurement in Psychology and Education” Master’s program. He also had meetings with colleagues from the Institute of Education to discuss and plan current and future research projects.
