Master class by Dr. Prashant Loyalka
Master class «Quasi-Experimental Design in Educational research» by Dr. Prashant Loyalka for students of «Measurement in Psychology and Education» master's program will be held on Wednesday, October 14th.
Prashant Loyalka is a specialist in the economics of education whose research focuses on (a) ways to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged populations; (b) the quality and equity of access to upper secondary and higher education; (c) and issues related to education and health. He earned a Ph.D. in International Comparative Education as well as Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Economics from Stanford. He was previously an Assistant Professor at the China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University.
Participants of the master class will get the general idea of impact evaluation in experimental research. They will also learn basic methods of the impact evaluation in quasi-experiments across educational studies. By the end of the presentation all participants will get an opportunity to ask questions.
