On 17-18 February, 2012 within the activities of the International laboratory for Education Policy Analysis at the Institute for Educational Studies series of advanced training seminars under the Ninth International scientific and practical conference "Trends in Education: Different but Equal. How to Fill the Gap in Access to Qualitative Education" were conducted with the participation of foreign specialits.
On 17-18 February, 2012 within the activities of the International laboratory for Education Policy Analysis at the Institute for Educational Studies series of advanced training seminars under the Ninth International scientific and practical conference "Trends in Education: Different but Equal. How to Fill the Gap in Access to Qualitative Education" were conducted with the participation of foreign specialits.
Advanced training seminars were held on the territory of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Vernadskogo prospect, 82, building 2) are devoted to the problems of the the quality of the education gaps analysis for representatives of various sectors of society and all kinds of vulnerable groups, ways of reducing differences and equalization of opportunities to access qualitative education.
President of the DataAngel Policy Research Inc Scott Murray presented his paper during the seminars. During his career he worked mainly in the areas of assessment in education, literacy assessment and social surveys conduct. Scott Murray is also known as an expert in the field of assessment literacy of youth and adult literacy, he was one of the major specialists in the design of the International Adult Literacy and Life-skills Survey.
Also Professor David Hawker - Director of the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Training Government of Wales (UK) presented on the seminars. Professor Hawker is an expert in assessing the quality of education services for children and reforming systems.
Director of the London Institute of Education Professor Chris Husbands, consultant on education and teaching Promethean (UK) Inna Stevens, as well as many other leading experts in the field of education presented their papers on the seminars.
