Researchers of the Institute for Educational Studies HSE delievered talks at the Ninth International Scientific-practical conference "Trends in Education: Different but equal. How to bridge the gap in access to quality education" on 17-18 February, 2012.
The conference was held at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and was organized by the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences in cooperation with the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, with the participation of the Russian training center at the Institute of Education Management of the Russian Academy of Education, the Center for International Cooperation in Education Development (CICED) and "Publishing Company "September".
Conference was devoted to the problems of the the quality of the education gaps analysis for representatives of various sectors of society and to the ways of reducing differences and equalization of opportunities to access qualitative education.
On the first day of the conference on February, 17 researcher of the Center of socio-economic development of the school I. Grunicheva presented the paper "The Impact of modernization on the intra-and inter-regional differentiation in schooling Russia".
During the plenary session "Strategy 2020. How to overcome the inequality in Russian Education" professor A.Kasprkjak presented the report "Strategy - 2020: Key Approaches".
Senior researcher of the Center for Monitoring the quality of education J. Tyumeneva and analyst of the Center for Monitoring the quality of education J. Kuzmina told the audience about the contribution of individual, family and school factors in the achievements of Russian students in the PISA-2009.
Leading researcher of the Center for Applied Economic research and Development M. Pinskaya talk was entitled "Contextualization of the schools results"
Senior researcher of the Center of socio-economic development of the school A. Zakharov presented a paper "Evaluation of relations between performance of students, teachers and educational practices with the educational achievements: the results of the 2010 Unified State Exam."
On the second day during the conference plenary session "What is "quality of education" in relation to different groups of students, and how it can be provided in the conditions of today's education system" scientific advisor of the Center for Monitoring the quality of education V. Bolotov made a speech "What do we know about the quality of education in relation to different groups of students."
