The researchers of Institute for Educational Studies presented their reports at XIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development on April 3-5, 2012
XIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development took place on April 3-5, 2012 in Moscow. It was held by National Research University “Higher school of economics” with the participation of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
The researchers of Institute for Educational Studies who are taking part in the realization of research projects of the laboratory (Khavenson T., Tyumeneva Y., Zakharov A., Kuzmina Y., Popov D.) made their reports at the conference.
Khavenson T. and Tyumeneva Y. presented a joint report "Teacher’s characteristics and students achievements. Findings from first-difference estimation applying to TIMSS 2007 data".
Zakharov A. performed a report on "Teacher credentials and high school student achievements: according to the results of the Unified State Exam-2010".
A report named "Who enters institutes of higher education in Moscow: a cluster analysis study” (based on the materials of Monitoring of educational and labour trajectory of schools and universities graduates)" was made jointly by Tyumeneva Y., Kuzmina J. and Popov D.
In addition, Tyumeneva Y. and Kuzmina Y. gave a talk on "The effect of one extra year schooling for student achievements (Evidence from countries with different dynamics in PISA results)".
