SERU Lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join an international project

SERU Lab HSE University Moscow seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join an international project, Student Experience in the Research University (SERU). SERU project is an academic and policy research collaboration that is based at Center for Studies in Higher Education at the University of California – Berkeley (CSHE) and involves the University of Minnesota, the International Graduate Insight Group Ltd (i-graduate), and HSE University Moscow. Research topics include (but not limited to) student engagement, student research engagement, factors of degree completion, student well-being and campus climate, international students, doctoral education. The post-doctoral position is offered for a two-year term. During this term, the researcher will be based 18 months at the Centre for Sociology of Higher Education at the HSE University Moscow, Russia but will spend 6 months at the Center for Studies in Higher Education, UC Berkeley, CA, USA as a visiting scholar and SERU Research Associate working closely with Igor Chirikov, SERU Consortium Director on research activities. The researcher will also participate in SERU events and other professional research conferences featuring SERU results.
Requirements:
- Completed PhD in Sociology, Economics, Education, Psychology or relevant fields.
- Advanced quantitative skills (R, Stata, SPSS).
- Excellent writing skills and proven record of research publications on higher education/student experience. The position will offer a competitive salary with respect to the costs and quality of life in Moscow/Berkeley, as well as basic health insurance and visa assistance.
