Despite successful examples of people who dropped out the university (Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg), student dropout is a serious problem for the social mobility of people and the economic development of the country. According to statistics, the largest share of dropouts occurs in the first year of study. In their research, Irina Shcheglova, Elena Gorbunova and Igor Chirikov discuss the role of the educational experience of Russian students in their first year of study at the end of the educational program.
