Education Law Laboratory

Szymon Jankiewicz participated in the round table "Educational law as a tool aiming to support institutional changes in Russian education"

The event was organized as part of the conference in memory of Anatoly Pinsky (1956-2006). "NEW SCHOOL" - 20 YEARS LATER

Szymon Jankiewicz participated in the round table "Educational law as a tool aiming to support institutional changes in Russian education"

The modern appearance of Russian education, including the institutionalization of its most important elements such as the rights of participants in educational relations, an individual curriculum, a network form of implementation of educational programs, have largely been the result of large-scale and painstaking work of educational-law specialists. Their role in the legal formalization of such reforms as the profile school, public administration, new principles of financing, etc. is difficult to overestimate. Today, legal expertise and support continue to play a key role in overcoming barriers to the development of education at all levels.

The round table noted the most successful cases of transformation in the field of legislation in education and the plans that could not be implemented. Effective models of interaction of experts in the field of educational law with legislative and executive authorities, the professional community were discussed; inspirers and leaders who left us – V.V. Spasskaya, A.I. Vavilov, were remembered.

The recording of the round table can be viewed here.
