Postdoctoral Fellowships in Early Childhood Education, Family and Parenting Studies

INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION in Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships in Early Childhood Education, Family and Parenting Studies.

Position Summary:

  • Working under direct supervision of Prof. Katerina Polivanova, Director of the Centre for Modern Childhood Studies
  • Pursuing research within the Centre’s following broad areas:

- parenting and family studies

- parental education programs

- out-of-school activities and education inequality

  • Writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals, including in co-authorship with the Centre's staff
  • Engaging in the organization of multi-stakeholder events and otherwise contributing to the Centre’s development
  • Extensive professional networking, presenting research findings at various academic community levels
  • Teaching is encouraged, though not mandatory.

The Institute of Education conducts annual empirical studies that provide extensive data for researchers in the above-mentioned areas. The Centre offers access to related databases and analytical software.

Requirements:

  • PhD from an international research university in such fields as: sociology, psychology, geography
  • Strong background in quantitative/qualitative data analysis
  • Proven capacity for independent research and academic writing
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Fluent English
