International Recruitment
At IOE, we aspire to bring together the best academic talent from various nations, fields, and scholarly traditions so we place at the forefront of global social & educational R&D.
Participating in and promoting academic exchange across borders has been paramount since our very beginning.
International mobility programs hosted by IOE enable our centers and labs to share at scale while also sharpening their R&D edge by tapping into diverse expertise from multiple corners of the globe.
HSE International Cooperation at Close-Up
The year 2013 heralded a momentous point for the international agenda at HSE University as a brand-new division, the HSE Office for Internationalization, was set up. Today, international mobility initiatives at HSE annually recruit over 65 research & teaching faculty from various corners of the globe, who lead projects at more than 40 international labs in economics, sociology & education, management, political science, philosophy, international relations, computer science, mathematics, language & culture studies, journalism, etc.
There are two major programs that international academic professionals can apply for:
- Tenure-Track Faculty Program: an initial three-year sojourn (with the option of renewal after a successful interim review)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship Program: a one-year sojourn with one of the HSE University research centers and units (with the possibility of renewal)
- Senior Part-Timers Program: for academics with extensive experience in the field who already have a tenure at their home university. 3 years on some type of part-time, non-residential basis (with the possibility of renewal)
- Affiliated Staff Program: for researchers and academic staff of Russian and international organizations who are not working at HSE University on a paid basis, but can contribute to the improvement and development of the University’s educational and/or research activities (with the possibility of renewal).
