Centre for Developments in Educational Economics and Finance
The Centre started out in 2001 as HSE’s key academic division to deliver research-grounded support in implementing comprehensive transformations in Russian education.
The Centre is engaged in upgrading the existing and devising new organizational, economic, and legal frameworks in the Russian education system, by tracking vanguard international practice in the field through active professional networking both domestically and on global academic venues (conferences, seminars, etc.).
The Centre’s particular areas of expertise include Russia’s human capital strategy and skill agenda, developing and streamlining teaching approaches and curricular at various institutional levels, advancing funding mechanisms and financial management tools in education, etc.
The Centre’s research and advisory outputs include, among others, system development forecasts, education standard whitepapers, proposals for multi-party project cooperation, and roadmaps for systemic regulatory upgrades in the Russian educational space.
