The course “Teacher’s rights: how to defend yourself in conflict using legislative instruments” is open for applications

Nadezhda Knyaginina has commented on a situation that happened due to an end of the “first wave” of admissions to the first grade.

The course provides you with online lectures and practical tasks based on real-life cases.

803 students, 981 parents and 128 teachers took part in the survey.

Nadezhda Knyaginina presented the results of a study by the Laboratory of Educational Law of the HSE Institute of Education on the provision of Russian schoolchildren with gadgets.

In Russia, many spheres of life are regulated by laws, standards, norms, and education is no exception. To ease the oppression of inspections in industries, a government reform is underway — a «regulatory guillotine», which should remove unnecessary rules, leaving only reasonable and really necessary for the state to effectively control. However, the analysis of the state standard in the field of education (FGOS) is associated with additional restrictions.

2020 has definitely become the year of online education. Children of all ages and many adults were forced to study and teach remotely. This allowed us to see the problems of accessibility of education in a new way, as well as to assess how the massive transition to online mode is combined with existing norms and ideas that limit the time of using gadgets.

The report summarises the activities of the Laboratory throughout 2020 and includes information about internal projects, external scientific and public events, educational, expert analytical and advisory work undertaken by our team.

The bell rings for the last class, a student is heading home. What will they do next? Will they attend an afterschool class or will they do their homework? Maybe they will study with a tutor or hang out with their friends? How much time do these afterschool activities usually take? Answers to these questions were received from a survey conducted among more than 1000 students and their parents.
