Digital Professors Programme
At IOE, we aim to foster international collaboration with leading researchers and lecturers from foreign educational and research institutions, and also with practitioners from leading international companies and organisations.
For the past five years, the Digital Professors programme has successfully brought leading international experts from foreign educational and research institutions, global companies, and organisations to the IOE to teach in a remote format.

The Digital Professors program was launched in 2020. It aims to attract international specialists remotely and develop international collaboration with leading researchers and faculty from international educational and scientific institutions, as well as practitioners from leading international companies and organizations. International specialists remotely teach undergraduate and graduate courses, provide ongoing monitoring and examinations, supervise students' coursework, final projects, and dissertations, and conduct master classes and training sessions.
Since its inception, the program has attracted over 200 international specialists from over 150 leading universities worldwide.
For what purposes can an IOE invite a remote international scholar?
- To teach academic courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- To carry out ongoing assessment and examinations
- To supervise coursework, final theses, and dissertations.
- To conduct masterclasses and training sessions.
What are the requirements?
Any international scholar engaged for remote work under the programme must not have any existing employment or civil-law contractual relationship with HSE University that involves full or partial presence within the Russian Federation.
Candidate must provide services in a remote format.
Candidate must have a higher education and an affiliation.
How is work with IOE documented?
Following the review of the IOE application by the University's Evaluation Committee and subject to its positive decision, a paid remote civil-law contract is concluded with the specialist.
