Postdoctoral Fellowships in School Education Studies
The Higher School of Economics’ INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION in Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships in School Education Studies.
These postdoctoral research positions are offered with the Institute of Education’s following specialist divisions:
- International Laboratory for Education Policy Analysis
- Centre for Monitoring the Quality in Education
- Centre for Education Leadership.
Position Summary:
- Pursuing research in the following areas of expertise:
- inequality in school education
- school leadership
- educational choices, experiences and paths
- Writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals, including in co-authorship with the Divisions’ staff
- Engaging in the organization of multi-stakeholder events and otherwise contributing to the Divisions’ development
- Extensive professional networking, presenting research findings at various academic community levels
- Teaching is encouraged, though not obligatory.
The Institute of Education conducts annual empirical studies that provide extensive data for researchers in the above-mentioned areas. The Divisions offer access to related databases and analytical software.
Qualifications:
We are looking for highly motivated and independently working researchers with interest in school education studies. Applicants should have a strong theoretical and empirical background in economics, sociology or education (a PhD in Education/Sociology/Economics from a recognized university). Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
