Savitribai Phule Pune University is Ranked #1 in Fortunate 500 Universities Rankings!
Savitribai Phule Pune University is the most fortunate university in 2017, according to the Fortunate 500 Universities Rankings. This ranking is traditionally published every April Fool's Day by the Institute of Education of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow.
Unlike most other inferior, data-based assessment systems, its hi-tech algorithms work with a completely randomized sample basis. The results aren’t prejudiced by factors such as exam results, quality of teaching, or caliber of research. Instead, Fortunate 500 is totally random. As a result, its No. 1 university may not be the most academically rigorous; it might not be the most highly respected institution; it might not be an actual university at all. It will, though, be the luckiest university to have been picked randomly out of a sample of 2,000 institutions.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (India) is followed by North Carolina State University (USA) and National Yang Ming University (Taiwan).
‘There is a growing concern in society about the subjectivity of rankings. Our methodology is fully objective and transparent. Every university has equal chances to reach the top. It’s an unpredictable world, and so are we. The next Stephen Hawking or Marie Curie could be studying at Boondocks University, and only a completely randomized measurement system will identify them,’ said Igor Chirikov, the author of the rankings and HSE Vice Rector.
In addition, the creators of the Fortunate 500 Universities Ranking issued separate rankings for the US and the UK, where the No. 1 institutions were University of Florida and Sheffield Hallam University, respectively.
