Dr. Mikhail G. Myagkov Joins IOE

Dr. Mikhail G. Myagkov has recently joined IOE as a Lead Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Educational Data Science.

In his new role, Mikhail will take up supervision over the Lab’s quantitative methods team that pursues a cutting-edge agenda of data-intensive R&D in socio-educational frameworks.

A graduate of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Dr. Myagkov holds a PhD from the California Institute of Technology and is a Professor of Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Oregon.

Mikhail has formerly served as Vice President for International Academic Affairs at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. At Skoltech, Mikhail first stood at the very bedrock of creating the institute’s innovative R&D and academic portfolio, and he was subsequently charged with advancing Skoltech’s global competitiveness program and participation in state-run academic development initiatives.
