The X international conference «Russian regions in the focus of changes», organized by Ural Federal University, featured an international symposium. Dubbed “The Role of Regional Higher Education Systems in Regional Development”, it was conducted last Friday in cooperation with the HSE Institute of Education.

The Annual Conference of The Consortium of higher education Researchers / CHER 28th Annual Conference took place in Lisbon, Portugal, on September 7-9. This year’s topic was ‘Global Challenges, National Initiatives, and Institutional Responses – The Transformation of Higher Education’. The participants discussed recent transformations in higher education: global challenges that the universities face, and the ways to cope with these challenges.

A research group from Japan visited HSE Institute of Education on September 10. The delegation came to Moscow to study the reform of pedagogical education in Russia.

On September 13, as part of the EdCrunch 2015 conference devoted to new educational technologies and progressive pedagogical approaches, the final round of the KIvO-2015 Innovations in Education Competition will take place. Below, the head of the Institute of Education’s Centre for the Study of Educational Innovations, Alexander Sidorkin, talks about innovations and the people behind them.

The International Summer School on Higher Education Research 'Higher Education Finance and The State' at Peking University is held on July 5-11. The school programme and design are developed by Russian and Chinese specialists.
