Cooperation with eduLIFE: new publications

The Center for Cultural Sociology and Anthropology of Education has been in collaboration with the eduLIFE project, conducted by the European University Institute, for a few years, and several articles and books can be noted by HSE research fellows being their co-authors.

Chapter on Soviet flagship university model published in new Macmillan book

A new book “The New Flagship University: Changing the Paradigm from Global Ranking to National Relevancy”, edited by John Aubrey Douglass (Senior Research Fellow, University of California, Berkeley, USA), has recently been published by Palgrave Macmillan, a global academic publishing company, part of Macmillan Publishers.

The world leader among academic publishers, SAGE Publications issued a collection of research papers, titled ‘Leading Futures. Global Perspectives on Educational Leadership’. Academic supervisors of the book are Alma Harris and Michelle S. Jones at the Institute of Educational Leadership, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

The article ‘The Plod of Sectorial Higher Education? The Case of Agricultural Universities in Russia’ by  Isak Froumin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of Education and Sergey Malinovsky, Deputy Head of the Project Laboratory for Universities Development was published in the latest issue of the journal ‘Higher Education in Russia and Beyond’ (HERB). The authors analyze if sectoral approach has a right to exist in the new social reality and market-shaped economy, and what limits and constraints it faces.

The staff members of the Center of Social and Economic School Development of the Institute of Education took part in the project focused on providing comprehensive information about teacher policy.
