HSE and Politecnico di Milano to Join Forces in Studying University Performance and Efficiency

A Cooperation Agreement has recently been signed between HSE and Politecnico di Milano (Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering) to jointly embark on a large-scale study titled, Efficiency, Performance and Impact of Higher Education Institutions (EPI). In accordance with the agreement, the IOE Laboratory for University Development will act as the principal R&D venue for this initiative, while Dr. Tommaso Agasisti, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano and one of Europe's most renowned experts in education economics, will take up overall project supervision.

IOE to Cooperate with Educational Testing Service

IOE is soon to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with Educational Testing Service, the world’s largest private organization in educational measurement and testing. Exploring Novelty Perspectives in Human Capital Theory and Education

On October 5–7, Hakone, Japan hosted the 2018 Conference of Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA), the largest forum for multifaceted social scholarship in the Pacific Rim region. IOE Researcher Interns at OECD Headquarters in Paris

Anastasia Andreeva, a student in HSE’s Comparative Social Research MA and research assistant at IOE’s Center for Educational Innovation, has recently set off for Paris, France to take up an academic internship with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). During her stay, Anastasia will focus on exploring various frameworks in measuring educational innovations.

IOE Experts Discuss Resilient Schools at ECER 2018

Topics of resilient schools and how such L&D settings can be best created to empower less privileged student cohorts have recently piqued more interest among educational scholars and within broader public realms. Marina Pinskaya, Sergey Kosaretsky, Roman Zvyagintsev and Mikhail Goshin, experts at the IOE Center for Socioeconomic Aspects of Schooling, traveled to Italy’s Bolzano this September to take part in the 2018 ECER International Conference, where they presented about IOE’s research on resilient K-11 settings.
