Natalia Rozenfeld, a Junior Research Fellow and Doctoral Student at the HSE Institute of Education's Centre for Vocational Education and Skills Development, presented her research at the 2026 Annual Conference of the European Consortium for Sociological Research (ECSR), which was held at Trinity College Dublin. Taking place on 15–17 June, the conference focused on how social institutions shape inequality in education, employment, and other areas of life, bringing together researchers who study the ways societies respond to growing uncertainty and structural change.

On 9 June, as part of the HSE Open Seminar on Education, Professor Futao Huang from Hiroshima University delivered a keynote talk  entitled ‘Rethinking the Internationalisation of Higher Education in the Context of Geopolitical Shifts: Comparative Perspectives from Asia and the West’. The seminar explored how major higher education systems in Asia and the West are redefining internationalisation in response to evolving geopolitical, technological and demographic changes.

Ksenia Tarasova and Daria Gracheva, from the Centre for Psychometrics and Measurement in Education, along with PhD student Nataliia Murashova, represented the HSE Institute of Education at the 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education (ICAIE 2026), held from 13 to 15 May in Taicang, China.
