On October 29th, 2015, an open discussion on ‘The Real Way to Personalized Education’ was held at the HSE Institute of Education. It belonged to the series of HSE joint events with the ‘Theory and Practice’ educational project as part of the evening cultural programme of the Open Innovations 2015 Forum.

A collective article by Nadezda Bysik, Katsiaryna Kukso, Natalia Isaeva, Nadezhda Evstigneeva and others has been published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Education. The issue is dedicated to the first results of the international comparative research ‘7 System Leadership Study’.

The article ‘Excellence-Driven Policies and Initiatives in the Context of Bologna Process: Rationale, Design, Implementation and Outcomes’ by Isak Froumin and Mikhail Lisyutkin was published in the collection ‘The European Higher Education Area. Between Critical Reflections and Future Policies’ issued by Springer.

Isak Froumin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of Education presented his keynote address ‘“Accelerated” World-Class Universities: What is Their ‘Secret’ and How It Could Be Measured’ at the event.

The article ‘The Plod of Sectorial Higher Education? The Case of Agricultural Universities in Russia’ by  Isak Froumin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of Education and Sergey Malinovsky, Deputy Head of the Project Laboratory for Universities Development was published in the latest issue of the journal ‘Higher Education in Russia and Beyond’ (HERB). The authors analyze if sectoral approach has a right to exist in the new social reality and market-shaped economy, and what limits and constraints it faces.

The conference ECER 2015 'Education and Transition. Contributions from Educational Research' took place at the Corvinus University of Budapest on September 7-11.

During talks that took place on July 23, HSE’s Isak Froumin and Alexander Sidorkin met with Shamsh Kassim-Lakha and Ariff Kachra of the University of Central Asia to discuss ways for the two universities to collaborate.

The staff members of the Center of Social and Economic School Development of the Institute of Education took part in the project focused on providing comprehensive information about teacher policy.

The article ‘Campbell’s Law and the Ethics of Immensurability’ by Alexander Sidorkin, Director of the Department of Educational Programmes, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Studies in Philosophy and Education issued by Springer.

The article 'National-Regional Relationships in Federal Higher Education Systems: The case of Russian Federation' by Isak Froumin and Oleg Leshukov was published on the website of the Higher Education Forum, the journal issued by the Research Institute for Higher Education, Hiroshima University.
